Product Description

The Ninth Infantry Division Patch was worn from 13 March 1925 to Present.

The Ninth Division was organized in July 1918 at Camp Sheridan, Alabama. The double quatrefoil, which is an heraldic mark of cadency for the ninth son, has been made red and blue, the designating colors of an Infantry Division headquarters flag; the white center is in the color of the numerals for divisional flags. The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally approved for the 9th Division on 18 Nov 1925. It was redesignated for the 9th Infantry Division on 1 Aug 1942. On 27 Feb 1970 the description was amended to revise the dimensions of the design.

Campaigns: World War II, Vietnam, Panama.

Decorations: Belgian Fourragere WW II, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm 1966-1969, Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal First Class 1966-1969.

Our 9th Infantry Division Subdued Patch is a regulation embroidered military patch. This is the same patch that is supplied to the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, Army Reserve units, and sold in the Army Post Exchanges. This patch would be a great gift idea and a wonderful addition to your patch collection.
