About Us

We're a small company in Maple Grove, MN, a suburb just outside Minneapolis. Vets Supply Line was founded in 1992 by a retired U.S. Army veteran that served in Vietnam with the ASA and was a recipient of the Bronze Star, Army Commendation with a V for Valor, and Purple Heart among other decorations.

After retiring from the Army, our founder became commander of a local VFW and found himself helping members track down hard-to-find official awards, badges, and patches for his members to wear in events. He soon became known as the guy to contact if you were looking for anything military service related. Officially incorporated in 1990, Vets Supply Line Inc. started selling to veterans and their families through mail order catalogs and expanded to the internet in 2007 with this site, MilitaryVetsPX.com.

Our mission is to provide official U.S. Military awards, insignia, and commemorative products of the highest quality to veterans and their families. In order to compete with the big companies, we focus on quality, honesty, fair pricing, and customer satisfaction. They call us "Minnesota Nice" for a reason!

Authorized Seller of Official Military Items

We've built relationships over several decades to buy direct from the same mints and fabricators that the U.S. Military contracts with and licenses to produce official awards and insignia.

We are a government authorized seller of official U.S. Military awards and insignia. We purchase our awards, badges, and insignia from the same companies that supply the U.S. Military.

In fact, if you submit a request for your awards to the U.S. Government Veteran Archives, they list us, Vets Supply Line, as a recommended retailer to contact for replacement awards and insignia they cannot immediately send or do not provide (such as foreign awards).

For non-official items, we only purchase from manufacturers that are licensed with the U.S. Military branches. We buy American made products whenever possible.

Anything that is said to be an "official" product of the U.S. military is made by a U.S. company that has been approved by the U.S. Military to produce the item for official military uniform wear.

Refund Policy and Our 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee:

Our refund and return policies are simple and fair.

If an item that you purchased from MilitaryVetsPX.com arrives damaged or is defective we will cheerfully replace that item and ship it to you at no additional charge.

MilitaryVetsPX.com will accept returns of stock items purchased from our website excluding large quantity item orders, special order, and customized items (see below) for a period of 30 days after the date we ship the item. The full purchase price will be cheerfully refunded to you providing the goods are returned in new condition.

Shipping fees are generally non-refundable if items are sent on time and accurately, but we may refund shipping fees as the situation warrants.

Special order and customized items such as watches, name tapes, and engraved or assembled items, including Medals and ribbons with attachments, are not returnable. If a special order item arrives damaged or defective we will cheerfully reorder that item for you and ship it to you at no additional charge. If a customer makes a mistake when ordering, we may remake or re-order customized items for half the original purchase price at our discretion.

Orders for large quantities of a single item are generally non-refundable. A large quantity is typically considered 10 or more of a single item. For large orders of a single item, please contact customer service by email or phone.

Shipping & Handling, and Insurance Fee Information

We do our best to ensure orders received by 8:00 am CST will be shipped the same business day. This does not include items that are made to order. We ship everything together as soon as possible once all items are available and completed.

"In stock" item attributes do not change automatically when we run out, and occasionally we sell more items than are currently in stock. We do our best to keep everything in stock or to mark items out of stock if we will not have more in within a couple weeks.

Shipping rates for domestic first class mail are based on the order total. Some items that cost more to ship have the additional shipping cost built into the item price.

Shipping time estimates are estimates of how long the shipping service typically takes to arrive once it is shipped from our warehouse in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Shipping estimates are not guarantees of how long an order will take to arrive once the order is placed or shipped.

First Class Mail typically includes tracking. Single patches and decals are sent First Class Mail through the regular letter carrier and USPS does not offer tracking. USPS Priority and Express services include tracking. The postal service does not provide tracking for orders containing items small and thin enough to be carried with regular letter delivery.

USPS Priority mail (2-3 days) and Express (1-2 days) are not guaranteed by the USPS and we cannot offer refunds when any postal carrier fails to meet their service deadlines, but most orders typically meet their service times.

UPS does not deliver on weekends and does not include Saturday or Sunday in service delivery times.

UPS stopped guaranteeing their service times in 2021.


All shipping options are available at checkout. After billing and shipping information is entered, there will be a review page where the total shipping charge is displayed.

Orders received after 8:00 am CST will usually be shipped the next business day. Orders for in-stock items placed UPS Next Day Air or UPS 2nd Day air before 12:00 pm CST will usually be shipped the same day.

If you need an order by a specific date, it is best to call us to discuss your order and shipping options so we can ensure availability.

Display frames are typically shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground. Display frames have this additional shipping charge built into the price.

Drop Ship Orders and Back-Orders/Out of Stock Items

We try to stock or manufacture all at our location when possible. For some items, particularly watches and some decals, we partner with specialized manufacturing companies that make the items to order and ship directly to you. Drop ship items typically ship within 5 business days but may take up to 10.

Due to online advertising requirements, all items must be marked strictly "in-stock" or "out-of-stock." Some items marked "in-stock" will include items made or assembled to order With over 5,000 inventory items, we occasionally sell more items than are in stock before we are able to update the availability of the item on the webpage. Some items marked "in-stock" will include items that are not physically in stock at our location in Maple Grove, Minnesota, but are on order and we believe will arrive soon, typically within 5-10 business days. In the event of a back-order, we will send all items as quickly as possible. Most back-orders are resolved within two weeks, but on rare occasions items can become unavailable for longer periods of time.

Back orders occur when we receive an order for a quantity greater than what we have on hand or when we run out of items before we can update the item's availability online to "out-of-stock". We will either ship all the items we can immediately along with a back-order notice, or we may wait to ship an order if an out of stock item is scheduled to arrive within a few days so that we can ship the whole order together.

We try to fill all back-orders as soon as possible. Back orders are typically shipped the same day the items are delivered to us. If the in-stock items are sent without the items on back-order, the back-order items are sent by USPS First Class Mail.

Custom Embroidery

Custom embroidered military hats and shirts have been our specialty for over 20 years. In fact, up until 2014, there were no other companies making custom embroidery with custom embroidered ribbons. Even though others have tried to replicate our products, no one makes a ribbon cap with the accuracy and quality that we're able to produce after 20+ years of experience.

All our custom embroidered hats are 100% made in the USA and the highest quality military embroidery available on the market today.

Unfortunately, due to their personalized nature, custom embroidered products are not returnable. If a custom embroidered product arrives damaged, defective or is defective due to the workmanship we will cheerfully remake that item in the same size for you and ship it to you at no additional charge.

MilitaryVetsPX.com also reserves the right to edit or alter the customer's embroidery request in order to ensure proper placement of the design, enhance the appearance of the product or to uphold military traditions. Usually this means abbreviating or correcting the spelling of words in order to make the cap design accurate and less cluttered.

Custom embroidery orders are handled in the order in they are received. Typically we can ship embroidered orders within 4 weeks after receiving the order. During periods of high volume and especially during the holiday season, custom embroidered items are shipped as quickly as possible but do require more time to ship. Please make a note in the comment section during checkout if the item is required by a certain date, and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Bulk and Wholesale Ordering

MilitaryvetsPX.com does offer discounts for large quantity orders (usually at least 10) of the same item. For discount and bulk ordering information, please call us at 1-800-864-5062. Bulk orders are exempt from normal shipping times and return policies.
