Product Description

The New York Army National Guard shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized for the 27th Infantry Division on 29 Oct 1918. On 4 May 1986 the description was revised and the insignia redesignated for the 27th Infantry Brigade, New York Army National Guard. The monogram "NY" refers to the unit's home state. The constellation of Orion was places on the patch as a compliment to the unit's WW I commander MG J.F. O'Ryan. The two letters, together with the seven stars indicate the numerical designation of the brigade.

Campaigns: World War I, World War II, Panama, Iraq.

Decorations: Army Meritous Unit Citation, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation.

Our 27th Division Army patch is a regulation, full color, embroidered military patch. This is the same patch that is supplied to the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, Army Reserve units, and sold in the Army Post Exchanges. This patch would be a great gift idea and a wonderful addition to your patch collection.
