The 2nd Army Patch was worn from 11 December 1918 to 1 January 1966 and from 1 June 1983 to September 1995.
The Second United States Army was organized in September 1918 at Toul, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France. During World War II it was a training army and trained fifty-seven divisions that went into combat. The red and white are colors of distinguishing flags for armies, while the numeral "2" identifies the unit's designation;
